Job Description

Richmond AID provide free, independent, impartial and confidential advice on issues ranging from welfare benefits, debt management, housing, and social care and independent living, well-being, social inclusion and personal matters.

The role will involve working within our established advice service and working one to one with people on more complex case work. This is an exciting opportunity to gain skills and experience. You will need to have completed or be able to complete the Wiser Advisor Money Advice Training.

You will need to have experience of working on to one with clients and have a caring and empathic way with people. You will deliver accurate information and money advice including welfare benefits, housing, consumer and debt advice to support disabled people in the Richmond borough.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual with at least one year’s experience (voluntary or paid) of delivering advice. The successful candidate must have excellent literacy, communication and numeracy skills.

Richmond AID offer 25 days annual leave plus eight bank holidays pro rata. Normal office hours are 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Fridays. You will be based at our offices in the Disability Action and Advice Centre, 4 Waldegrave Road, Teddington, TW11 8HT but may need to work from other locations as needed.
