Job Description

Students at the University of Westminster are amonst the most diverse of any university in Europe and they and their families, make major sacrifices to go to University.  UWUSU offers a wide range of services and activities to it’s 20, 000 members and is pioneering new approaches in all services and activities to create a Students’ Union that is genuinely relevant to our students.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a solid grounding in advice work to work with our advice and advocacy service that will be at the heart of our Students’ Union.  We are looking for people with experience in delivering front line welfare and support services, who are motivated by a varied work load, and from helping people both one-to-one, in groups and on a larger scale.  We also want to expand out on-line support and develop genuinely effective outreach and education work through well supported student volunteers.  Your work will have real impact not just on individual clients but by feeding into the lobbying and social policy work of the union.

This is a full time permanent position.  We would welcome applications from experienced volunteer advisers such as those from CAB or other student unions advice services.
