Research and Policy Assistant
bowel cancer uk

Job Description

Bowel Cancer UK is a growing, ambitious charity working throughout the UK.  We recently launched our first research strategy, outlining our move to become the UK’s leading bowel cancer research charity.

The Research and Policy Assistant will provide essential project management and administrative support to our research and policy work - with the ultimate aim of stopping bowel cancer for good.

Your main focus will be to coordinate and support our exciting ‘critical gaps in research’ project, a landmark study to discover the gaps in bowel cancer research, that if filled, could save the lives of thousands of people affected by the disease.  You’ll be our first point of contact with researchers and other stakeholders, responsible for keeping the project on target.  You will also be helping with our policy campaigns including a new international campaign on advanced disease.  With experience of policy/research and/or administration, you will have the skills to keep projects on track, with professionalism and good humour.  Crucially, you will have both the drive and energy to be a champion of our work on research, for the benefit of all those affected by bowel cancer.

This is a part-time, flexible role for 3 days per week on a one-year fixed term contract initially.  We hope to gain funding to renew the post.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
