Solent Mind is the largest third sector provider of mental health services in the Hampshire region offering a range of high quality services to improve people’s mental wellbeing and to promote choice and rights to everyone who needs our support.

Solent Mind is working in partnership with Solent NHS Trust to provide peer support to clients under secondary mental health services. 

As Peer Support Team Leader you will:

  • Lead the team of Peer Support Workers, volunteers and students to deliver the Peer Support Service within the Portsmouth Support & Recovery (PSR) Service, to ensure delivery of service outcomes and working as part of an integrated team with Solent NHS Trust.
  • Support service users to engage effectively with the Peer Support service, and to research and identify different forms of peer support which will enable them to achieve their identified goals
  • Develop, promote and encourage peer support activities which will encourage service users to become more independent and involved with their local community, including groups and social activities as well as one-to-one time-limited engagement with a Peer Support Worker, volunteer or student
