Job Description

As a key member of our Finance and Admin team, we are looking for a diligent, hard working and supportive team player who excels at finance administration. The Finance Officer joins Peace Direct at an exciting time, as we are growing and hoping to significantly increase our impact around the world. 

The successful candidate will ideally be working towards a relevant accounting qualification and will have some experience of providing finance support in a charity, including recording transactions on to Quickbooks (or another similar accounts package), ensuring that all income and expenditure is posted to the correct unrestricted and restricted funds, preparing all payments (international transfers, invoices etc) and running periodic checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, calm under pressure, can manage mutiple priorities, is extremely efficient and who loves supporting people and teams to achieve organisational goals.

Peace Direct is an international NGO that works with local people to stop violence and build sustainable peace. We work with local organisations in ten countries around the world and aim to support many more in the years to come.
