Job Description

We need a dynamic treasurer to manage the finances of our neighbourhood trust in a deprived area of Tunbridge Wells - itself one of the most prosperous towns in Kent.

Our trust aims to improve the lives and wellbeing of the residents of two neighbouring run-down former council estates on the edge of the town. Its objectives include promoting the health and wellbeing of the residents, helping to improve their social and economic conditions , supporting the advancement of education and training and encouraging environmental improvements in the neighbourhood.

The trust manages a community centre with a large public hall providing facilities for community events, youth clubs, games, parties and public meetings. It hosts an Ofsted-registered pre-school, a popular cafe and a library.

It provides activities and events for young and old and a voice for local views which it then represents to the council and local agencies in the planning and delivery of services.
