Job Description

The successful candidate will work within the South Gloucestershire Engagement Team as part of DHI’s Drug & Alcohol Treatment Service. The aim of the role is to take a lead in developing and delivering services for people who use Novel Psychoactive Substances (NPS) in South Glos. You will be working proactively to engage NPS users and act as a resource around NPS for the South Glos Treatment system.

You will have experience of:

  • The emerging trends around NPS use and the potential needs of service users using NPS.

  • Managing a client caseload, undertaking assessments, care planning, and delivering evidence based psychosocial interventions.

  • Working with a wide range of stakeholders to meet the needs of service users.

  • Developing and delivering training on NPS related topics to colleagues.

This is a full-time role at 37.5 hours per week worked Monday to Friday and is  a fixed term contract to 31st March 2017. The salary is NJC Pt. 27-28 (£23,188 - £24,472) depending upon skills and experience.  In addition, DHI offers up to 31 days paid leave (service related) in addition to statutory holidays, a 7% pension contribution and Employee Assistance Scheme.
