Job Description

We require an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Newark Emmaus Trust as our Project Manager.


An independent charity, the Newark Emmaus Trust have been providing accommodation with care, support and training to over 600 homeless young people since 1994. More than a temporary home, we aim to give those in our care a real opportunity to learn and develop as individuals. Developing the skills to move on to independence and employment we support homeless individuals aged 16 – 25 years old. We are also able to offer accommodation and care to pregnant teenagers as well as teenage parents and their babies.


The Project Manager role is to co-ordinate the effective operational development and delivery of the charity and develop a robust strategy that will support the trust to thrive.


As the Project Manager you will be the head of a well-established local charity and will play a pivotal role in defining the direction of the charity. You will have a strong and motivational management style and will be responsible for helping to develop the Trust in the challenging third-sector landscape.


You will be experienced in project management for small – medium size organisation. You will be required to work closely with the management committee, the existing project staff, and the residents to continue the positive work of the Newark Emmaus Trust. The role also requires the Project Manager to liaise with local governments and partner institutes.
