Job Description

This temporary contract is an exciting opportunity to use your existing experience and knowledge to organise exciting events at the London Cycling Campaign.

The Cycling Projects Team is a small, dynamic and fast paced team that are responsible for delivering a programme of events and projects for a range of internal and external clients. This role will be report to the Cycling Projects Manager but will work with the Marketing & Membership and Fundraising Teams.

Your experience will include managing a range of different events from end to end with strong track record in of development, delivery, budget management and event evaluation. You will also have proven experience at managing and influencing stakeholders when leading projects. Using your experience you should have the confidence to work with the Senior Management Team to create the best approach to LCC’s events.

The role will be the project lead on developing and delivering three large scale events during the summer.

  • Closed street cycling activation event  celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the bicycle event.
  • LCC’s London Cycling Awards to be held in City of London’s Guildhall.
  • Freecycle Feeder Rides – 35 family and commuters rides from all London Boroughs to the Freecycle event.

The role will suit someone with strong project management expertise, extensive experience in development and delivery of events and management of stakeholders and volunteers.

Your passion for getting more people cycling through exciting and engaging events will be key to this role alongside excellent organisational skills and level-headed nature.

The place of work will be the Metropolitan Wharf, 70 Wapping Wall, London, E1W 3SS. Some work outside of normal office hours will be required.
