Job Description

Every year, thousands of men, women and children are trafficked to the UK.

Bakhita House is a residence owned by the Diocese of Westminster and set up by CARITAS Westminster as part of the Catholic Church’s response to this issue, with the aim of offering befriending, guidance, support and resettlement to the victims of Human Trafficking.

We are currently seeking to appoint for the following vacancy:

Locum Support Workers-£10 per hour as required

We are seeking a number of Locum Support Workers to provide cover as required to the full time Support Workers. S/he will assist in the support case load overseeing all aspects of guests’ housing matters and participating in the design of a life skills programme and workshops.

All post-holders will ideally be experienced in working with victims of human trafficking and modern slavery, and thus able to handle with sensitivity all guests displaying challenging behaviour as a result of experiencing trauma.

Excellent communication organisation and team working skills together with a commitment to the ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church would also be absolutely crucial

Due to the nature of this work, all post-holders will be required to have a flexible approach in terms of working hours must therefore be willing to participate in the on call rota
