This is an exciting full-time role with a Newcastle city centre Christian Charity caring for children and families with disabilities in China. International China Concern (ICC) has been established for twenty-five years and the UK National Office is looking forward to our next phase of growth.

An opportunity has arisen for the successful candidate to join a small team of passionate people. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can commit to the Charitable Objects of this Christian Charity. We are a donor-focused organisation and therefore excellent telephone manner and people skills will be essential. The role would suit someone with finance, IT and database experience who also enjoys building relationships, working closely as part of a small, close knit team, building our donor and child sponsorship base.

An Occupational Requirement exists for the post-holder to be a practicing Christian in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Main Areas of Responsibility

• Managing a Child Sponsorship scheme
• Implement financial processes of payments, expense claims and invoices, bookkeeping, reconciliation of bank to Xero, preparation of payroll information.
• Responsibility for day to day running of the office and team retreat days
• Maintain database of donors and Church Partners
• Support the work of the Board and Chairman in governance. This will include organising Board Meetings and documents, leading devotions and minute taking.

Essential Experience/skills :

• Accounting software
• Banking reconciliation
• Payroll

Desirable:

• CRM database
• Project management.
