Job Description

We are pleased to invite applications for the role of CEO, to lead the organisation through the changing VCS landscape, securing sustainability and maintaining service delivery, whilst being responsive to the changing needs of the community. You will be embarking on a challenging yet hugely rewarding role and as such, will need to be able to bring to InSpire a wealth of practical skills and strategic thinking alongside a passion for local communities and a desire to achieve meaningful, sustained impact through the provision and delivery of quality services. 

The Walworth, Elephant and Castle and Old Kent Road regeneration schemes are the largest in London. The community we work with are subject to the many challenges and opportunities this brings.

InSpire’s mission is to build the confidence, life skills and aspirations of Walworth residents so that, despite the challenges they face, individuals, families and the community can thrive.  We work to break down barriers and foster a sense of community.

We do this through the delivery of a wealth of generalist and specialist services delivered from our 2 community centres in the heart of Walworth/SE17 and targeted at providing practical support, information, advocacy and projects to a range of groups. Our current core services include;

* InSpired to Work: A flagship borough wide employment programme for 16-25 year olds

* InSpired Parents: A highly regarded and unique parenting advocacy programme for young parents and families at risk

* InSpired Arts and InSpired Estates: A core arts and youth work programme for young people aged 8-19 years including traditional estate-based youth clubs, arts, cycling and football programmes all aimed  at reducing crime and anti-social behaviour and increasing young people’s aspirations, confidence and life skills.

* Adult Programmes: a selection of both inhouse and externally delivered programmes for older and vulnerable adults included InSpired to Grow, an arts and gardening programmes for adults with mental health issues, a digital inclusion programme, arts activities for older people. We also host services such as AA and NA.
