About the Organisation

Around 80,000 adults and almost every school child playing the sport at the end of 2017.

Our client has grown steadily over the last twelve years to become the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport. Based in Sheffield the organisation has grown to showcasing the sport as more than a supplementary sport played in school to defining pathways and increase playing opportunities for interested participants across the country. The “recorded sustainable play continues to increase year on year.

Our client delivers a sport that crosses generational boundaries, a cross gender game that embraces all abilities. It's a game that's all about sociability, about connecting with people in an age where screens separate generations and are replacing real and meaningful interactions.
The sport allows it's players an opportunity to create profound memories, offering an ideal balance between fun and fitness with great opportunities to make friends, get some exercise and have a good laugh away from the pressures of everyday life. Although our client continues to deliver great work, it has faced some challenges recently. This includes removal from the list of assessment sports at GCSE/A-level in 2015 and our subsequent efforts to be reinstated.
