Finance Manager
healthwatch lambeth and black thrive

Job Description

Are you passionate about improving health and care services for Lambeth residents? Are you a qualified accountant with senior experience in a finance role, preferably in the charity sector? Do you consider yourself a self-starter with strong initiative and able to offer sound financial advice? If the answer is yes, then this role might be for you!

Healthwatch Lambeth is an award-winning health and social care charity that works to ensure that everyone's health and wellbeing needs are heard, understood and met. We do this by being a trusted source of insight into people's experiences of health and care services. In 2016 we agreed to host a five-year partnership initiative, Black Thrive, which aims to reduce race inequalities in the local mental health system. We are now seeking a part-time Finance Manager to work across Healthwatch Lambeth and Black Thrive towards the development of Healthwatch Lambeth’s financial vision and strategy. This key role would suit a senior qualified candidate with a strong finance background and ability to work flexible hours. The Finance Manager will have a crucial role in supporting the continued growth of the organisation.

Some of the benefits of working at Healthwatch Lambeth include an attractive salary package of £40,000 (pro rata), the possibility of working flexible hours, 26 days of annual holidays plus bank holidays (pro rata) and pension contribution. You would work with a friendly and closely-knit team who is passionate about improving the health and care services in Lambeth.

The role will be based at the Healthwatch Lambeth office in Brixton, just a short work from the tube station and numerous bus routes. Some local travel will be involved. The Finance Manager reports to the CEO of Healthwatch Lambeth.
