Job Description

Healthwatch represents patients and the public in health and social care. We are independent of the NHS and Brighton and Hove Council and are an official watchdog with statutory powers. Healthwatch ensures that the voice of people who use services influences decisions about health and social care.

The Board of Directors oversees our work through a not for profit Community Interest Company and all the Directors posts are unpaid.

Healthwatch Directors normally serve for 3 years and it is time to refresh Board membership . We particularly want to recruit people with expertise and experience in: promoting diversity, inclusion and working with BME communities, volunteer support, organisation development and income generation.
