Fundraising & Volunteer Co-ordinator

£19,136 + 27 days holiday. Full time - 1924 Hrs, 37hrs pw. 1 year until September 2016.

The Student’s Union at UWE is a dynamic and expanding student environment and we’re looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to become part of the Community Team!

This role is your opportunity to develop and support student volunteers and fundraisers in a variety of projects and activities. Your remit will be supporting students in the development of their own projects, promoting the opportunities to be involved to the student community along with recruiting, training student leaders whilst increasing participation.

The Community Team is a creative, engaging, high energy and driven team - relentlessly ambitious in providing the best opportunities and experiences to UWE students. This individual will manage an exciting volunteering programme but also revive our RAG and fundraising offer too.

We are looking for someone with proven communication skills, knowledge of the key issues in the voluntary sector and experience of supporting community/volunteer/fundraising projects.  Strong IT skills, time management, prioritisation and organisational skills are essential.

We are just opening of our brand new, £10 million SU building. This major investment will provide a fantastic new facility to allow further development of services for students. You will need to be unafraid of new ideas and new ways of doing things and be confident in embracing change.

The post is a 1 year fixed contract, the continuation of the post is subject to University funding.
