Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join a keen small group of Volunteers who engage in educational, medical and humanitarian aid to The 'Smiling Coast' of The Gambia. 

We need a Treasurer/Bookkeeper to keep our books in the UK, to regularly check payments made by donors, to supervise the keeping of accounts in The Gambia, to oversee the payroll for the four paid Gambian staff,  to ensure the timely transfer of funds to the Gambia to meet the termly payment of school grants and other outgoings and to prepare end of year accounts.

We need an IT specialist who can help us develop a cloud based support system for a shared database to enhance communication  between the UK and Gambia

and an HR officer to work to develop our Gambian staff,

Our committee meets four times a year usually in the Midlands but Skype and other communication media are used.  We pay reasonable travel expenses in the UK only.
