Job Description

Wintercomfort is a day centre in Cambridge which supports those who are homeless or at risk of losing their home. Primarily it is a place where people can go to get warm, take a shower, receive a free hot meal and stay safe. In addition to meeting their immediate needs, Wintercomfort also offers a variety of services to encourage users to seek long term and positive change.

 Through the support of our trained staff and volunteers, our aim is to enable our service users to reach their potential and where possible secure permanent housing and achieve an independent lifestyle.

We are recruiting for a Finance Manager to ensure the finances of the organisation are effectively managed and assets are safeguarded and employed effectively.

This role will cover a wide spectrum, from managing the financial administration process, the production of monthly management accounts, budgeting and re-forecasting to the preparation of year end accounts.

You should be confident in communicating and translating financial information, both to finance and non-financial professionals. It is desirable to have worked in a finance team within the charity sector, but not essential.
