The University of Bristol Students’ Union has an exciting future and is searching for a trustee to direct, shape and develop our strategy. A registered charity, Bristol Students Union is an organisation of over 22,000 members, led by student sabbatical officers and supported by 45 salaried staff and part time, student staff.

The right candidate will have experience of working in a leadership role, be able to influence strategic direction and planning, whilst being committed to working in a Students’ Union. We’re looking for someone with ideas, drive and passion to ensure we’re on the right track as we continue to represent and support our members.

The organisation is a company limited by guarantee and with an annual revenue of over £3 million, we have significant commercial ambition that we’re looking to realise so we can keep growing. We exist to create opportunities for students to improve their university experience, to enable them to have the best student life and with recently refurbished facilities, we’re going from strength to strength.

Critically, we’re looking for a leader. you will have confidence, sound judgement and excellent communication skills with a good professional network within Bristol.
