We are currently recruiting for 2 Employment Advisors (Primary Mental Health Service).

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with excellent skills and knowledge within both employment and mental health.

Based within the IAPT Talking Change service in Portsmouth, you will advise and assist people with a mild to moderate mental health condition to gain and retain ongoing paid employment with some flexibility around education, training and voluntary work. You will provide skillbased interventions, information and practical support to help people to gain or retain employment.

The role will also involve liaison with employers, local employment services and agencies providing skills and training opportunities. You will also be required to liaise with colleagues within the Talking Change service, provide updates on the local job market, and employment law changes as required.

Previous experience of working in an employment and/or mental health setting is essential, together with an understanding of the employment needs of people with mental health conditions. Flexibility, problem solving skills and the ability to work independently are essential requirements for the role.
