IPS Employment Team Leader
dorset mental health forum

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new team leader to fully implement Individual Placement and Support (IPS) across Dorset’s secondary care mental health services. The IPS employment model is internationally recognised as the most effective way to support people with mental health problems to gain and remain in paid employment, based on over 20 years of research.

This is an exciting opportunity to be responsible for developing and growing this project. We are looking for someone who can build on the existing good practice and partnership work to fully implement IPS, providing IPS focused leadership and supervision for the employment specialists and to effectively evaluate the impact of the service.

This appointment is a partnership position, employed and managed by Dorset Mental Health Forum but working jointly with Dorset HealthCare University Foundation Trust. This post will involve working across a range of agencies, employers and services, providing expert advice and support.

We are looking to recruit a team leader who has experience of working in supported employment services and believes passionately in valuing the expertise of people who have experienced mental health issues. The team leader will actively champion people’s rights to effective support in finding and maintaining employment.

Please apply with CV and covering letter describing how your experience and expertise meets the requirements of the role, as detailed in the attached job description and person specification.
