Job Description

The Huddleston Centre is seeking to appoint a new Director.

The Centre, based in Hackney, has been working with local children and young people with disabilities for over 35 years.

This is a part time position equivalent to 3 days per week and applicants should expect to work occasional evenings and weekends.

As Director you will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the charity, supported by and reporting to the Committee of Management.  The Director has direct supervisory responsibility for three senior staff, a bookeeper, and a cleaner, and indirect responsibility for more than twenty sessional staff.

Although experience of working in a charity and an understanding of disability is desirable, applications from other individuals with relevant experience such as managing a small organisation, unit, or multidisciplinary team, fundraising, or large-scale project management will be welcome.
