Talking Money is a leading money advice charity with a mission to improve lives by tackling financial problems and a 26-year track record of providing high quality, effective and innovative advice services.
Our role in alleviating poverty and addressing financial exclusion is key within the current challenging environment. But standing still is not an option, and we are therefore seeking a confident, articulate and inspiring ambassador to lead our team of expert and committed staff into the future.
We are now recruiting for a successor to build on the achievements of our current Chief Executive who retires in March 2017. If you have experience at a senior management level and can provide strategic vision and leadership to Talking Money, we would be pleased to hear from you.
Job Purpose
To provide strategic vision and leadership to the operation and development of Talking Money, within the policy direction set by the Board of Trustees, maintaining its success as a provider of high quality advice services
To ensure that the charitable objectives of the organisation are followed and that it delivers appropriate public benefit
To take overall responsibility for Talking Money’s management within the governance and accountability frameworks established by the Board of Trustees
Working with the Chair of Trustees, to enable the Trustees to fulfil their legal duties and other responsibilities for the proper governance of the organisation
To lead on fundraising, securing and monitoring sustainable income streams for Talking Money
To provide leadership, support and challenge on partnerships for which Talking Money is the lead agency or accountable body
To represent the organisation externally, to funders, partner agencies and other stakeholders
