We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, engaging and accomplished Chief Executive to join and lead our committed team at Edward’s Trust.

Edward’s Trust is a Birmingham based charity which offers holistic bereavement support to parents after the loss of their son or daughter and children after the loss of a parent, carer or sibling.  Through this unique support, lives that have been devastated by death can start to be rebuilt.  Edward’s Trust is the only organisation within the West Midlands area offering a comprehensive holistic bereavement service to children and parents in this way for as long as they need it.

We are looking for an exceptional individual to provide strategic direction to our work, leading and inspiring the team, as well as being a leading voice for Edward’s Trust. You will develop relationships with all stakeholders to grow the work of the organisation and have a strong influential voice as well as pursuing growth development and driving change.

A visionary, resilient leader you will demonstrate an awareness of the challenges facing voluntary sector organisations as well as have an extraordinary ability to initiate and build relationships with people. A proven track record in business and finance, and sound knowledge of employment, IT and operating systems is a must. In addition, you will be a creative and energetic problem solver, with great professionalism, discretion and judgment.

This role will be initially part funded by Cabinet Office’s Local Sustainability Fund and delivered by Big Lottery Fund, but this is a permanent full time role.
