Job Description

About Global Witness

We’ve been creating change for over 20 years, from alerting the world to blood diamonds to halting forest destruction deals.  Our investigations have changed the world.

We’re looking for a Campaigner to bring an end to the facilitation of corruption within the financial sector, as part of our overall work to tackle resource-related corruption.

About the role

As Campaigner, you’ll help deliver advocacy strategies which prevent corruptly acquired funds from entering and moving through the international financial system.

You’ll be instrumental in creating opportunities for policy debate; developing and influencing key advocacy contacts to achieve maximum impact.

About you

As Campaigner, you’ll bring us the highly developed analytical skills needed to plan activities to achieve our aims.

You’ll need to explain complex policy issues to diverse audiences, so excellent communications skills and the ability to adapt your style depending on the audience is essential. You will have the interpersonal skills and tact needed to bring together the diverse perspectives of a broad range of people (government, business and other NGO’s) to collectively achieve change.

You’ll be flexible enough to adapt your approach as priorities change and you’ll also bring us a real flair for innovation and a talent for project management under time pressure.

Finally, it would be valuable if you understand transparency in the financial sector.

Working for us

We aim to be a diverse and inclusive place to work.We value new perspectives, original ideas and different ways of working. We believe that diverse views and experiences improve the way we do our work. We do our best to make our jobs accessible to all regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation or identity.

We offer an excellent benefits package including a competitive salary and 25 days holiday (exc. Bank holidays) private medical insurance and flexible working arrangements.

We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates as they are under-represented within Global Witness at this level.

The client is happy to conduct telephone interviews for overseas candidates.
