Job Description

The British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), is a membership association, founded in 1957 as a professional body to serve veterinary surgeons who treat companion animals.  The Association now has over 11,000 members. The majority of our members work in practice as veterinary surgeons or veterinary nurses.

We are seeking to appoint a lay member to our Audit & Risk Committee.  Appointments are made for a period of three years. The Committee meets three times a year at BSAVA’s offices in Gloucester, the meeting is a one day meeting and there will be email and or phone communication in between meetings.

The ideal candidate will have experience in finance, accounting or auditing gained in employment in a senior role with financial oversight responsibilities or as an auditor and it would be desirable for them to have some experience in the charity sector work of an Audit and Risk Committee.  This is a volunteer role, however expenses will be met.
