HEAD OF OPERATIONS c. £43k, London, with some international travel

Book Aid International is the UK’s leading international book donation and library development charity. Every year we aim to ship around one million brand new books to thousands of communities where people have very few opportunities to access books and read.

We are now looking for a talented manager to lead on all aspects of our operations, to include warehousing, shipping, logistics and book acquisition and provision.   

This Head of Operations will play a vital part in delivering our ambitious plans as we seek to grow the volume of books we donate to 1.5m by 2020. The successful candidate will be experienced in managing an international distribution function and will have knowledge of the publishing/bookselling industry.  S/he should have the ability to see the bigger picture as well as having excellent attention to detail, and should be confident in taking a strategic lead in this crucial function.
