Job Description
Bond is the civil society network for global change. It brings people together to make the international development sector more effective.
Bond unites and supports a diverse network of over 450 civil society organisations and allies to help eradicate global poverty, inequality and injustice.
By helping our members adapt to an ever-changing environment, we enable civil society to create a more just and sustainable world. We work to influence governments and policy-makers, develop the skills of people in the sector, build organisational capacity and share expertise.
Bond is two years into a five-year strategy - an ambitious programme of work to build a stronger network focusing on areas such as income growth through paid for services, collaboration, advocating to secure change, and supporting members to be more effective and transparent in their work.
The role of the Chief Executive is to provide leadership and inspiration to enable Bond to fulfil its mission within the strategic and accountability frameworks developed with the Board of Trustees.
At a time of dynamic change and significant challenge in the sector, we are seeking an exceptional leader with demonstrable strategic vision, outstanding relationship management skills, political adroitness and operational leadership experience.
This is an exciting role for the ideal candidate who will bring compelling senior executive leadership experience to the international development sector and an evident passion for and appreciation of the changing needs within it. S/he will be a highly credible, excellent networker, communicator and influencer with high emotional intelligence and ambassadorial skills. In addition, s/he must possess demonstrable experience of successful advocacy and effectively shaping relevant policy.
The deadline for applications is 26 April 2018. The role is based in London and the salary is commensurate with the seniority of the appointment.
The client is happy to conduct telephone interviews for overseas candidates.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
