Bucks Students’ Union is seeking to recruit a new external Trustee to join our Board and help support our future growth. As a registered charity with a turnover in excess of £2 million and a full-time staff team of 40, Bucks Students’ Union provides a range of membership and commercial services to our 9,000 strong student body.

Our services include an Advice Centre and Representation Department, a 1,500 capacity licensed venue, four catering outlets, a vibrant student newspaper and a wide ranging programme of sporting, recreational and volunteering activities. This is all supported by our Communications and Marketing Department.

As part of our Board, you will support the Chief Executive Offi cer, the President and other elected offi cers, in the continued delivery of our high quality services and assuring the long-term sustainability of the organisation.

We would welcome applicants with a keen understanding of higher education and issues affecting students and young people. In particular, we would encourage applications from individuals with a passion for supporting the development of organisations in the third sector.

All trustee positions are voluntary (expenses provided) and offer a range of personal development opportunities.
