Job Description

BIHR is looking for a dynamic and accomplished person to join our team as a Human Rights Officer. You will bring experience of developing and delivering practical education, training and support for voluntary and public sector organisations. You will bring an excellent working knowledge of the Human Rights Act and how this can be a tool to deliver better, more accountable, public services, particularly in health and social care. You will be an excellent communicator demonstrating the ability to translate complex legal standards into accessible and practical information which supports others to have the confidence to use human rights in their work. You will be a “people-person” able to build relationships and partnerships internally and externally. You will be committed to working in a busy small team and bring a flexible attitude and approach.

This position is based in London; however BIHR works across the UK and this post involves regular travel and overnight stays. This is a part-time position for 3 days a week, with a salary of £28,000 pa pro rata.
