Job Description

Are you a highly motivated and organised person, with experience of providing administrative and finance support? Do you want to be at the core of an organisation working to bring human rights to life across the UK?

You will have experience of a similar role, strong interpersonal skills together and excellent attention to detail and a flexible and proactive approach. This post has two core functions, to provide 1) effective administrative support across BIHR’s office operations and programmes; and 2) financial administration including data entry, processing of payments in and out (including for grants, consultancies and donations), bank reconciliations, and budget/cashflow monitoring. This is a great opportunity for a results oriented person to join a small organisation with a large reach across the UK. This post is office-based (London) although there may be the opportunity for occasional travel within the UK.

This is an administrative role; it does not include human rights research, policy or practice.  This role does not include line management responsibilities, but may include task management for volunteers and interns.

  • a prepared a task in advance of the interview with a short discussion of this at the start of the interview (no more than 10 mins)
  • an interview panel with questions (no more than 50 mins)
  • an unseen task after the interview (no more than 30 mins)
