Job Description

Safer Places is an independent charity which provides a comprehensive range of services to adults and children affected by domestic and sexual abuse and family conflict who live in Essex and Hertfordshire. The people who use our services are at the heart of our organisation and we aim to work to enable them to overcome the impact of their experience and to build a brighter and safe future for themselves and their children.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Client Support Practitioners, as tasked by the Service Manager, by providing practical support to clients and their children within the boundaries of Safer Places, maintaining excellent relationships with partner agencies and fellow employees.

  • Assisting Client Support Practitioner s in the delivery of client led support to clients and their children ensuing that all aspects of the client’s needs and safety are taken into account.To assist the Client Support Practitioners, as tasked by the Service Manager, by providing practical support to clients and their children within the boundaries of Safer Places, maintaining excellent relationships with partner agencies and fellow employees.

  • Assisting Client Support Practitioners in the delivery of client led support to clients and their children ensuing that all aspects of the client’s needs and safety are taken into account.
  • Assisting the Client Support Practitioner to ensure records are maintained to a high standard including databases.
  • Assisting clients to manage their budgets in line with the plans and tenancy agreement agreed by the Client Support Practitioner.
  • To work as part of the team ensuring that at all times a clean, safe, welcoming and secure environment is provided. Performing domestic tasks as required ensuring rooms are ready for clients as required.
  • Assisting team in ensuring notice boards, welcome packs and other information sources are maintained and up to date.
  • Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:30 based in Herts.

    Knowledge and Skills:

  • Be able to form good working relationships with women whilst working within professional boundaries.
