About the role
We are seeking two to three Activity Workers for our pioneering ELHAP Orchard Project (we are open to applications for working one to five days per week). The Activity Workers will lead the delivery of the unique and innovative ELHAP Orchard Project that focuses on horticulture, conservation, the arts, building/carpentry and experience of nature for disabled young people and adults. The Activity Workers will be members of the ELHAP staff team, responsible for making sure that the high quality, creative but spontaneous Orchard Project is effectively delivered.
 
About you
The successful candidate will bring a specialism and passion for at least one key area: horticulture, drama, tree management, music, building trades or supported volunteering etc. To get the most out of the role the candidates will be motivated and passionate about offering disabled young adults unique opportunities in our Orchard Project. You’ll also be up for working outside in all weathers. Naturally, you’ll need lots of experience in supporting disabled adults and you’ll be up to speed with equality and diversity, health and safety, and safeguarding.

For 39 years we have provided fantastic services to many thousands of disabled children, young people and adults from across North East London and Essex.
