Strategic Heads of Service Roles

Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Location: Brightspace, Ipswich

Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum

Start date: As soon as possible

Community Action Suffolk is the county’s leading infrastructure organisation for the VCSE (voluntary and community and social enterprise sector) and due to recent promotions within our Senior Leadership we have some exciting new vacancies.

We are looking to recruit 3 strategic leaders to lead a service area for each of our charitable objectives

1. Head of VCSE Organisation Development
2. Head of Community and Voluntary Action
3. Head of Partnerships and External Relationships

We are seeking individuals with a passion for the VCSE sector who can champion community action and volunteering with a flexible, proactive and resourceful approach.  You will provide inspiration and leadership, enabling and supporting all parts of Community Action Suffolk to successfully engage in delivering the strategic objectives.  You will be an excellent communicator at all levels, able to write and speak persuasively to a diverse range of groups.

Managing a team you will be responsible for leading and motivating staff, and you and your team will have responsibility for developing business plans, establishing provision across county, generating sustainable forms of income and ambitiously seeking further funds to support our work programme and new priorities.

Of course, you’ll definitely need to be an ideas person but you will also need to be able to work operationally to manage and deal with issues, obstacles and opportunities as they arise.  So, if you are ready for a challenge, enjoy accountability and have plenty of ideas we welcome your application.
