Insight and Impact Manager
turn2us

Job Description

Make your impact on the fight against UK Poverty

Do you want to be part of the fight against poverty that is devastating lives and futures across Britain today? With demand for our help increasing, we are looking for  an insight and impact professional with the skills and drive to help shape how our Charity will help more people in need.

Turn2us exists to help people struggling to make ends meet get their life back on track. We do this by giving direct financial help through our own charitable grants; supporting people to increase their income through welfare benefits, charitable grants and other support; and by highlighting ways for people to reduce essential costs.

Last year over 7m people visited our website seeking information. Over 2.3m people carried out an online Benefit Calculation to better understand their welfare benefit entitlement. Over 65,000 called our telephone helpline and nearly 800,000 searched to see whether they might be eligible for charitable support from a range of 1,800 organisations. We also gave over £4m in grants to individuals in need.

These figures are impressive but with your help we can uncover the insight beneath the data – to inform and continually improve our work, influencing our; projects, campaigns, communications, funding and partnerships.  As Insight & Impact Manager you will work with colleagues across the Charity to refine how we measure and report the impact of our work, as well as understanding the experiences of people we help and broader poverty trends, helping to shape Turn2us in future.

With a proven track record of success in applying insight you will apply your user-led approach, knowledge of quantitative and qualitative evaluation and research techniques to plan and deliver our insight and impact strategy and reporting. You will contribute an intellectual curiosity alongside the personality and communication skills to share our insight and impact in order to influence and inspire colleagues, volunteers, supporters and the people we help.

This is a crucial role for an ambitious charity improving the lives of thousands each year. If you wish to make a lasting difference to the lives of people in vulnerable circumstances across the UK, we look forward to hearing from you.
