The Zoological Society of London (ZSL), a charity founded in 1826, is a world-renowned centre of excellence for conservation science and applied conservation. Role Profile

ZSL is currently looking for a HR Team Administrator to support the HR Director and HR Team, to ensure the smooth running of the department.  It is a busy and demanding work environment, requiring you to have a good work ethic and strong experience within an administrative position.

This is a fantastic and exciting new opportunity for the successful candidate to take on a service led post within an established international organisation. You must be genuinely excited by the prospect of joining a world leading conservation charity such as ZSL. We have built such a strong reputation as a team internally and externally that in 2017 we won 3 external HR Excellence Awards including the prestigious Gold Award and were highly commended for the Best Learning and Development Strategy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the HR team with data input (iTrent)
  • Diary management for HR Director.
  • Administrative tasks such as minute taking & correspondence.
  • Managing all email queries and electronic personnel files.
  • Recording all sickness absence data.
  • Help with on boarding of new starters, including reference requesting and chasing.
  • Working closely with the Recruitment Manager in organising recruitment days, arranging interviews and liaising with candidates.
  • Be the first point of contact for the HR Department.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent) with desirably a HR qualification (Level 3 CIPD).
  • Have excellent numerical, written communication and computer skills.
  • Be highly organised and be excellent at prioritising and multi-tasking.
  • Be motivated to develop your Human Resources career.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
