To support delivery of the ASK project and help continue the success of Inspiring the Future, we are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Projects Assistant to support with day to day tasks, project administration and manage enquiries from schools and volunteers.They will also be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service. 

The Schools Projects Assistant will be based in the charity’s office just off Fleet Street. The role provides the opportunity to really build on professional skills including delivering excellent customer service for our community of volunteers, teachers and careers advisors; supporting data management and general administration tasks. All this while contributing to our aims to ensure young people access the advice and guidance they need to help them achieve their potential.

Education and Employers is a small charity working at a rapid pace to bring about change and the ideal candidate will be able to absorb key information quickly, work well with a small team in a dynamic working environment. 

Key Accountabilities

ASK Project Delivery

  • Managing initial requests for the ASK project and fielding this as appropriate to the ASK staff team
  • Supporting the school team in liaising with schools and colleges to arrange awareness raising sessions on apprenticeships
  • Supporting collation and updating of data and databases associated with the project
  • Other ad hoc administrative tasks to support successful delivery of the project

Inspiring the Future

  • Assisting schools and volunteers with registering for Inspiring the Future and dealing with general enquiries from teachers about the programme 
  • Using Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software undertake daily processes that underpin volunteer and school usage of Inspiring the Future
  • Manage incoming email and telephone enquiries for the charities programmes including managing the enquiries mailbox for Inspiring the Future
  • Undertaking administrative tasks via Salesforce CRM and ensuring all communication is logged onto Salesforce
  • To communicate effectively and efficiently (via phone, email) with schools and volunteers

Other

  • Supporting event management across the charity during period of significant event delivery
  • Other ad hoc administrative tasks to support the team as needed

Skills/ Knowledge/ Expertise

Essential 

  • Excellent customer service skills including writing skills and ability to construct customer focussed communications
  • Excellent planning, time management, administrative and organisational skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, punctual and reliable with excellent time keeping
  • Comfort and confidence in working with data.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively when carrying out multiple tasks
  • Good working knowledge and practical application of Microsoft office tools
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Desirable

  • A passion for supporting young people in realising their potential
  • Experience of working in a small team
  • Understanding of risk management and data protection
