Job Description

The Membership & Communications Coordinator is responsible for ensuring members feel part of the NWR family & that our comms are effective. The post holder contributes, via engagement with members and through the production of publicity, quality media, and advice, to the membership recruitment and retention strategy. The post holder will be part of a small team of five trustees and five staff who work together to continue to grow an organisation that members’ value and that is attractive for women to join.

NWR will be celebrating our 60th anniversary in 2020 and so we are in a very busy and exciting place at the moment. The MCC role will be key to taking advantage of the opportunities which we are presented with in this busy time. Two major projects which the post holder will lead on will be the publicity plan for our anniversary year and overseeing the redesign of our website.

The MCC will also overhaul our member recruitment and enquiries process to ensure that we are successfully engaging with our people from the very beginning. They will involve our members as much as possible in the running of the organisation and help to ensure that our members feel that they get value from NWR. Communication channels and the responsibility for developing and growing our online presence via our website and social media content is also integral to this role and includes engaging with our members in a digital format.

In this home-based role, you’ll join a small team of five staff and you can expect to be fully involved in all aspects of our activities and quickly become a familiar name and face with our members and part of our ongoing development of NWR with the aim of it being an organisation that women value and wish to join.

The role is initially a 2-year fixed term position.
