Barking and Dagenham Council for Voluntary Services is continually pioneering new ways of working to build and improve opportunities for the local not for profit sector. This is a unique opportunity to lead and direct an organisation that is committed to empowerment, equality and engagement for both residents and all agencies working in the borough.

As our Chief Executive, and as part of a small team, you will be expected to very much hands on. The successful applicant will be at ease with multi-tasking, between strategic management of the Ripple Centre, delivering one-to-one capacity building support to not for profit groups, convening meetings and representing the sector at strategic meetings. In return we can offer an exciting, progressive atmosphere with a support team that is focused on creative problem solving.

The ideal candidate will have previously had senior management experience in an infrastructure body.

Salary: £43,734 per annum (PO6)

Hours:  40 hrs per week

Duration:  Until March 2020 (renewable subject to funding)
