National Shed Development Manager
uk men's sheds association

Job Description

The UK Men’s Shed Association (UKMSA) is the national support body for Men’s Sheds, independent community spaces set up for men to connect, converse and create. The activities are often similar to those of garden sheds, but for groups of men to enjoy together. They help reduce loneliness and isolation, but most importantly, they’re fun.

The UKMSA works hard to inspire and support the development of as many Men’s Sheds as possible, for the benefit of men’s health and well being. We are a member organisation, representing UK-based Men’s Sheds. We raise awareness of the Men’s Sheds movement and the many benefits of Shedding and we support Men’s Sheds in getting off the ground and thriving as community-driven, member-led entities. We don’t own or manage Men’s Sheds, but we champion them for miles around.

Reporting to the Chief Officer the National Shed Development Manager will be responsible for delivering our national Shed Development & Ambassador programmes to facilitate the on-going growth and sustainability of the Men’s Shed movement within the United Kingdom.

We are looking for someone who has a high level and proven project management experience and successes. Someone with excellent communication and computer skills.

In return we are offering a 2 year home working contract for 35 hours per week (Some travel will be required to attend meetings and events).
