Job Description

As a key member of our International Programmes Team, we are looking for an experienced, highly organised team player who has a passion for our mission and for finances! The International Programme Finance Officer is a pivotal role within Peace Direct. The postholder takes a lead in providing advice and guidance to Peace Direct's international partners to improve their budgeting and financial reporting; reviews and compiles all financial reports due for donors, prepares and reviews all project budgets, and works closely with colleagues to improve financial processes and systems. It's a varied and challenging job, with regular travel overseas to visit and provide direct support to partners. 

The successful candidate will ideally be working towards a relevant accounting qualification and will have experience in working with, and supporting closely, local partners overseas, both in-country and at a distance. We are looking for someone who is friendly, calm under pressure, has excellent communication skills, can manage mutiple priorities, is extremely efficient and who loves supporting people and teams to achieve organisational goals.

Peace Direct is an international NGO that works with local people to stop violence and build sustainable peace. We work with local organisations in ten countries around the world and aim to support many more in the years to come.
