Full & Part time Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) - Salary £21 500 to £25 500 (depending on qualification) p.a. 37.5 hrs/week  or 18.75 hrs/week Monday – Sunday Shifts between 8am to 10pm

We have a full time (37.5hrs/wk) and part-time (7.5hrs/wk) fixed termrole as an IDVAbased in Colchester .

• Generally, IDVAs provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a service to those at highest risk. 

This position requires that the applicants:

• Hold a Safelives IDVA training certificate (for qualified roles)
• Have experience of working directly with victims of domestic violence within an IDVA team
• Have experience working directly with vulnerable people.
• Have experience managing a caseload.
• Working within a multi-agency and legislative framework.
• Have computer literacy skills and have experience of working with databases.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
• Have strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.
• Be a car driver
