Chair of Trustees
the kent autistic trust

Job Description

The Kent Autistic Trust is a well-respected specialist provider of services for adults with autism, operating throughout Medway and Kent, with 40% of its services rated OUTSTANDING and with ambitious plans to expand and respond to the needs of people on the autistic spectrum.

We are now seeking a new Chair of Trustees to succeed Phil White and help lead us into the next crucial phase in our development. This is an exciting time to be part of The Kent Autistic Trust.

Working closely with the Chief Executive, Christine Edwards-Daem, the new Chair will build on the existing platform to help take an already successful organisation to the next level. The Chair will be supported by the Vice Chairs and Board of Trustees who have successfully risen to all the challenges of increasing demand and significant organisational growth and been instrumental in developing the organisation into a successful Charity.

The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader with a clear passion for our mission and the strategic capacity to understand and guide the development of the Trust.  Well-networked and with strong relationship-building skills, our new Chair will have gravitas to operate as a compelling ambassador for The Kent Autistic Trust.  A track record of successful senior organisational leadership experience as a Chair or a Trustee is essential as is a genuine resonance with our aims and values.

This is an unremunerated role.
