Reporting to the Deputy Director for Global Engagement (Europe) and working with senior professionals within education you will manage the development and the delivery of CASE Europe’s membership and volunteer engagement objectives and strategy. This strategy will help support the delivery of professional development for individuals in the sector, support our member institutions to advance, achieve CASE Europe annual operational targets and complement the CASE global strategy.

The Senior Member & Volunteer Engagement Manager is a senior colleague in the small and entrepreneurial team in the London office of CASE.  The post holder will manage the membership team and be responsible for membership growth, engagement and retention across the Europe region.  This will include but is not limited to the day-to-day management of membership products and services, the development and delivery of benefits and programmes, and the strategy for acquisition and retention of members across Europe.

The post holder will line manage two Member Services Managers, you will also be part of the global membership team and work closely with other key departments including, research, business development, marketing and communications and the educational programmes teams to deliver excellent membership services and products. Other key stakeholders will be colleagues in other CASE regional offices, key volunteers including the European Advisory Committee a group of volunteers who help support and drive membership in Europe. 

Educated to degree level you will have experience in a membership, volunteer management or alumni engagement role and with experience of business development and/or marketing experience to deliver against income and numerical targets at a team level and independently.  You will be able to demonstrate experience in managing a team and be able to provide examples of excellent relationship-building and professional member services or client service experience, demonstrating evidence of working with and developing opportunities for volunteer, supporter and/or member engagement. You will have a great ability to solve problems and turn ideas into action.  Along with excellent oral and written communications skills you will be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
