Volunteering Support Administrator

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Volunteering Support Administrator 
Location: Flexible (possible options include; Bangor, Bristol, Hereford, Leeds, Merton, Nottingham, Ombersley, Richmond, Sheffield, Sutton, Tipton and Warrington) 
Contract type: Permanent 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: £19,262 - £23,186 per annum, dependent on location

About the role: 

Our volunteers help us to do more for people affected by dementia and they account for the majority of our workforce. We are looking for a talented individual to enable us to offer a high quality. 

Our team of Volunteering Support Administrators are the first point of contact for all external volunteer enquiries and for all internal enquiries related to volunteer management. Your role will be to coach and support volunteer managers and to help orientate people with the wide range of tools and resources we have. You will ensure that all volunteer processes are continuously improved and delivered to a high standard, esuring Alzheimer’s Society volunteers have a great experience. 

About you: 

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent you will have experience of working in a customer-focussed role, delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. You will need to have some knowledge of volunteer management, and be able to coach and guide colleagues through the local implementation of volunteering policy and guidance. 

You will have excellent database administration skills and be able to produce reports and statistical data on volunteering. Your strong verbal and written communication skills will enable you to build and maintain relationships remotely and deliver information clearly and consistently. The ability to take a pro-active approach to working on your own initiative, without close supervision is a must, as is the ability to juggle several priorities simultaneously and manage tight deadlines.
