Job Description

Home-Start Wandsworth is a registered charity that supports families with at least one child under the age of five, providing practical and emotional support for families in their homes through our network of trained volunteers, throughout the area administered by Wandsworth Council in London.

We have recently been successful in securing funding to continue our core work and expand by developing a Bump to Baby service to support pregnant and new mothers who are finding it difficult to cope or are suffering from postnatal depression. The additional funding will also enable us to grow our family hubs and develop group work with isolated families in deprived areas.

We are looking for an experienced Scheme Manager to ensure the successful implementation of these projects and to manage a small friendly team through a period of transition. Initially it is a 12 month FTC to cover long term sickness absence but there is potential for the role to become permanent. It is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager looking for the next challenge in their career.

You will have experience of leading a team, managing and delivering projects, ensuring that targets and Service Level Agreements are met, monitoring and evaluating performance, submitting funding applications and managing budgets. You will have excellent IT skills and ideally you will have had experience in the charity/voluntary sectors, social services, local authority or similar environments.
