Director
the marr-munning trust

Job Description

The Marr-Munning Trust is now seeking a new Director to ensure we use all our resources to tackle poverty and its impact in some of the poorest places outside the UK.  The Trust is an independent grantmaking charity and our vision is a world of empowered people living free from poverty.  We make grants totalling an average of £350,000 a year to charities/NGOs - currently prioritising the education of disadvantaged children and livelihoods skills training for adults.

The Trust is a small charity and the Director will manage all aspects of its day to day operations – including overseeing the Trust’s own property portfolio which generates the majority of our income.  We are currently developing a new grantmaking strategy and the Director will play a key role in shaping its implementation.

We are seeking an individual with good leadership skills, a thorough understanding of the grantmaking process and international development issues, financial literacy and good communication skills.  Knowledge of property or investment management would also be desirable.

Salary:  circa £50,000 depending on experience (plus a 6% pension contribution).

We are committed to diversity and we welcome appropriately qualified applications from all sections of the community.

Full details about the role and how to apply can be found on our website.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on 5th May 2017.

Interviews will be held in Ealing on 16th May 2017.
