Job Description

Experienced individual needed to complete carers’ assessments, reviews and support plans via home visits and office appointments ensuring that carers’ needs are identified and recorded accurately.  Report writing & excellent communication skills are essential as is knowledge of carer & disability-related legislation. Enfield Carers Centre is the Trusted Assessor organisation in the borough of Enfield for conducting stand-alone carers assessments. This post is contracted for one year and subject to renewed funding from Enfield Council

Essential skills for all above roles:  Excellent communication & report writing skills; 3yrs min. work exp. in health & social care sector; commitment to equal opps; an awareness of issues affecting a multi-cultural community; understand the relationships between the Council, Health Authority and the 3rd sector as well as having a commitment to the needs of carers.  You’ll need to be an approachable, professional, flexible individual who can deal tactfully and sensitively with others, manage a demanding workload, and be a good team player.

You will be joining a great team and based at Enfield Carers Centre and working from satellite offices throughout the borough of Enfield on some days. Working days are 9am-5pm, although occasional evening work and rare weekends working is included for which Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be given.

This post is subject to an enhanced CRB/DBS check and applicants must have a car and a full driving licence. As Home Visiting and satellite working are essential parts of the role, the successful candidate will need to declare business use in their car insurance policy.
