Job Description

Are you experienced in giving detailed benefits advice and form filling? This role will deliver Welfare Benefits advice and welfare reform information to family and unpaid Carers. The post will focus on delivering aspects of income maximization assistance, welfare benefits advice and casework to a wide range of carers via one-to-one appointments and group sessions/workshops. The postholder will also support team members in helping them understand welfare rights as these affect carers and cared for people.

This post is subject to an enhanced CRB/DBS check and applicants must have a car and a full driving licence. As Home Visiting and satellite working are essential parts of the role, the successful candidate will need to declare business use in their car insurance policy.

You will be joining a great team and based at Enfield Carers Centre two days each week and work from satellite offices throughout the borough of Enfield on other days. Working days are 9am-5pm, although occasional evening work is included for which Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be given.
