Job Description

Our partner is a dynamic human rights charity supporting vulnerable refugees and migrants to overcome the barriers they face to integrate, develop and thrive in the UK.

They are seeking a head of finance and resources to join their leadership team supporting the CEO. This diverse role will combine strategic leadership and effective operational management of all support services.

Key Deliverables

  • Ensure the charity has robust financial and legal governance and long term planning in place
  • Become part of the leadership team providing input to strategy and deputising for the CEO
  • Oversee and develop income generation and fundraising strategy
  • Oversee and develop their financial management systems
  • Ensure there is a comprehensive, regularly reviewed suite of policies and procedures
  • Keep HR policies up to date
  • Provide support to trustees and ensure appropriate information, advice and analysis is given in relation to governance, finance, risk and health and safety

Person Specification

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CIPFA)
  • Experience providing financial information and annual reports to the trustee board
  • Able to communicate complex financial and legal issues
  • Experience of long term financial forecasting and risk management
  • Able to communicate with non- finance specialists to produce and monitor budgets
  • Able to lead, manage and supervise the Finance and Resources team
